I’ve done a lot of thinking about what I want this blog to be. I have so many different interests, I wanted my website to encapsulate as many things that I could that represent who I am. Music has always been a huge part of my life, my entire life. I have a very wide range of music that I enjoy, so I’ve decided every Monday to list my top 5 favourites sings of the week.
Let’s get started !
1. all good girls go to hell – Billie Eilish
This song is a MOOD. She is just so freakin’ cool. & she’s literally 17 !!! I’ve heard about Billie Eilish from various different people who all have very different tastes in music. I absolutely love her. Gives me a lot of Lorde meets Lana Del Ray vibes. I have only listened to half of her new album, but I’m obsessed.
2. There Will be Time – Mumford & Sons, Baaba Maal
I was never a huge Mumford & Sons fan, I really like a couple of their songs but they’re never really my ‘go-to’ when I’m looking for new music. My sister is a competitive dancer, and her dance team did a dance to this song, and I haven’t been able to stop listening to it since. it has a beat about it that just makes me want to get up and dance.
3. Never Change – Picture This
I have been non stop listening to this band since discovering them a couple months ago. If you’re a fan of Kodaline, or just generally like more of an indie-folk sound then you have to check out the rest of their songs.
4. Smooth – Santana ft. Rob Thomas
Oldie but so damn good. I’ve been looking at a lot of festival lineups lately, Woodstock 50 has been one of them that I’m super interested in going to later this summer. One of the acts I was the most excited to see live is Sanata.
5. There’s still a light in the House – Valley
Valley is a band I was actually lucky enough to get the chance to work with a couple years back. They’re from Oakville, Ontario (woop woop) and they’re just so damn good. They’re currently opening up for Lennon Stella on tour across North America so I anticipate them gaining a ton more fans in the next couple of weeks.
