You guys, I am not even going to lie, I think I’ve been doing a really good job at not shopping too much since this year started. I’ve been trying really hard to be more strict with myself and really think more about the clothes I’m buying before I buy them.
With Spring right around the corner, I can’t help myself but to online browse during the hours after work. So I thought It would be cool to put together some of the trends you should keep your eyes out for this Spring!
All Currency listed is CAD.
FLORALS
Now we all know that as soon as Spring rolls around, florals are a staple item and have been for the last couple of years. So it’s not surprise that floral patterns are one of the main prints I’ve been seeing online – everywhere. Now, I am a neutral girl through and through, I don’t really love too many bright colours, so it’s no surprise that the majority of the floral prints I am drawn to are all muted, neutral tones.
Here are some pieces that I have had my eye on for quite some time – from Left to Right
- Artizia – Wilfred Tempest Dress – $168.00
- H&M – Cropped Puff Sleeve Top – $24.99
- Abercrombie & Fitch – Wide Strap Square neck Bikini Top – $45.00

CUT OUTS
This one is a strange one because I didn’t think that this trend would stay past the later end of 2016, but ladies, keep those cut out sweaters and shirts, they are back in style! You know the ones that I am talking about, the shirts we all have with a tiny slit in the neckline, or the ones that leave your shoulders completely bare. I personally don’t know if I will be rocking this look, something about it screams very “University” to me, but these are some of my favourite finds on my browse.
From Left to Right
- Artizia – Wilfred Free Cut Out Dress – $88
- H&M – Open Shoulder Sweater – $29.99
- Abercrombie & Fitch – Twist Front Cut Out Slip Mini Dress – $79.00

WIDE LEG PANTS
We can all collectively thank Mr. Harry Styles for this one, becasue I truly think that he is the one to thank for brining this one back. Now, I by no means am canceling the skinny jean like Gen Z would undoubtedly like – because honestly there’s nothing like a good high waisted skinny jean to make me feel like 100%. However – there is something classically timeless about a pair of wide leg pants. I personally am still on the hunt for something that has that wide leg, but doesn’t make me look like I am disappearing into the pant becasue I am SO short. Will keep you posted on what I find.
From Left to Right
- Abercrombie & Fitch – Pull on Wide Leg Pants – $81.00
- H&M – Flared Leggings – $17.00
- Aritzia – Wilfred Effortless Cropped Pant – $148

WHITE DRESSES
This might be the one thing I am most excited about for the spring and summer time. Over the years I would say that I’ve grown into loving dresses, they are honestly one of the most comfortable and easiest pieces of clothing to throw on in the summer. So I’m sure you can imagine my excitement when I found out that white dresses (my favourite) are going to be a staple piece. A white dress with some cute sandals, or dressed down with some converse are a whole vibe.
From Left to Right:
- Aritzia – Wilfred New Écoulement Dress – $138
- Dynamite – Ella Puff Sleeve Eyelet Dress – $21.00
- Abercrombie & Fitch – Short Sleeve Skort Romper – $75.00

SHEER EVERYTHING
So this one I was pretty surprised to see be included on almost every single one of my favourite stores. Not that I’m not into sheer, but guys, literally everything was sheer! I think the one thing i am most excited to see with this is how people are going style sheer items over the next couple of months and into Fall.
From Left to Right
- Dynamite – Long Sleeve Smocked Mesh Top – $10.50
- Aritzia – Babaton Utility Button-Up – $98
- Abercrombie & Fitch – All-Over Smocked Flutter Sleeve Top – $59

I hope this got you even a little excited for all that’s to come this Spring and Summer season – I am planning on doing a teeny bit of shopping soon and will be sure to show you all What I’ve picked up.
Until then, let me know what trend you’re most excited for this year.

Love these! thanks for sharing.
